Welcome to the Ixelles Chess Club website
Formerly known as "Cercle d'échecs Le Pantin," after the bar where its members used to meet since the early 1990s, the Ixelles Chess Club is affiliated with the Fédération Échiquéenne Francophone de Belgique and participates in national competitions. With a community of over 100 members, the club organizes friendly blitz and rapid-play tournaments twice a week.

Blitz Tournament (5+3') in 7 rounds
EVERY SATURDAY AT 3:30 PM

Rapid Tournament (10+5') in 4 rounds
A three-month ranking system is organized for this tournament. The top three in the overall ranking receive vouchers for the Maison des chess.
Usually, a friendly Blitz tournament is held after the rapid tournament.
>>> Come and register 30 minutes before the announced time, tournaments are often full (especially on Tuesdays), first come, first served! Plan on €2 for participation in costs (games and clocks)
OFFICIAL PARTS
The Ixelles Chess Club participates in the National Interclub and French-speaking Interclub competitions for classical games approved by FIDE (International Chess Federation).
Becoming a member of the club allows you to be registered as a player with FIDE and to participate in any sanctioned tournament around the world.

12/05/2025 La deuxième ronde des Intercercles francophones 2025 aura vu les défaites des équipes 1, 2 et 5 du Ixelles CC et des victoires pour les ICC 3 et 4. Les deux dernières rondes (25 mai et 29 juin) seront importantes pour plusieurs de nos équipes !
05/05/2025 L'équipe 7 du Ixelles CC a remporté son match de barrage face à Brasschaat 6 hier dimanche à Mechelen. ICC7 est donc promu en division 4. Bravo !
03/05/2025 les affiliations pour la saison 2025-26 commencent dès le 1er juin. Si vous désirez rejoindre l'Ixelles CC, contactez-nous via le formulaire ci-dessous...Nous recherchons surtout des joueuses et joueurs à 2200-2400 elo pour renforcer l'équipe première qui est promue en division 2 nationale !

COMMUNITY
The club brings together a very active community of players of all levels. In addition to weekly meetings on Tuesdays and Saturdays, many spontaneous games are organized via a very dynamic WhatsApp group... You'll often find players at Café Montmartre.
The club's unique and warm atmosphere is regularly exported when members organize themselves to participate in various international tournaments.
